Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry is considered one of the best Premier League strikers of all time. He played most of his career for Arsenal and scored 175 goals in 258 appearances translating to a strike rate of 1.47. He also had 74 assists during his time in the Premier League. Henry was known for his speed, skill, and ability to score goals from almost any position on the field. He won two Premier League titles with Arsenal and was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year three times.

Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero is another one of the best Premier League strikers of all time. He played ten seasons for Manchester City and scored 184 goals in 275 appearances translating to a strike rate of 1.49. He also had 47 assists during his time in the Premier League. Aguero also scored the famous injury-time winner against Queens Park Rangers in 2012 that secured Manchester City’s first Premier League title. Aguero was known for his speed, skill, and ability to score goals from almost any position on the field. He won four Premier League titles with Manchester City and was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year once.

Harry Kane

Kane is still an active player and is currently one of the best strikers in the world playing as a forward for Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team. He has scored 207 goals in 314 appearances (till 23 April 202) for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Harry Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot twice, in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons. He has also won the Premier League Player of the Month award six times. In addition to these awards, he has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award twice, in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. Harry Kane also won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, scoring 6 goals in the tournament.

Ruud van Nistelrooy

Ruud van Nistelrooy is a retired Dutch footballer who played as a striker. Ruud van Nistelrooy was one of the most prolific goal scorers in Premier League history, with a remarkable scoring rate of 1.58 goals per game. Over the course of his career in the league, van Nistelrooy netted a total of 95 goals in just 150 appearances, making him one of the most efficient strikers the league has ever seen. His ability to consistently find the back of the net from a variety of positions on the pitch helped Manchester United secure several league titles during his time with the club, and cemented his place as a true legend of the game. He also played for Real Madrid and Hamburg before retiring in 2012.

Luis Suárez

Luis Suárez is a Uruguayan professional football player who played for Liverpool from 2011 to 2014.  Known for his clinical finishing and exceptional strike rate, Suárez is widely regarded as one of the best strikers of his generation. During his time in the Premier League, Suárez scored a total of 69 goals in 110 appearances, which translates to a remarkable strike rate of 1.59 goals per game. This puts him among the top goal scorers in the history of the league and highlights his ability to consistently find the back of the net at the highest level of competition. In the 2013-2014 season, Suárez was the top scorer in the Premier League, scoring 31 goals in 33 appearances, and was awarded the Premier League Golden Boot. He was also named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year.

Mohammad Salah

Mohammad Salah is an Egyptian professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Liverpool FC and the Egypt national team. Salah signed for Liverpool in 2017 and immediately became a fan favorite with his impressive performances scoring 32 goals in his debut season. He is considered one of the best players in the world and has been named African Footballer of the Year three times. As of 23 April 2023 Salah has scored 136 goals in 224 games with a strike rate of 1.65, making him one of the top scorers in the PremierLeague’s history. He has also won numerous individual awards, including the Premier League Golden Boot twice and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.

Alan Shearer

Alan Shearer is a retired English footballer who played as a striker for Southampton, Blackburn Rovers, and Newcastle United. He is considered one of the greatest strikers in Premier League history, having scored a record 260 goals in 441 appearances giving Shearer a strike rate of 1.7. He won the Premier League with Blackburn in the 1994-95 season, scoring a league-high 34 goals. Shearer won the Premier League Golden Boot three times and was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year twice. He also played for England, scoring 30 goals in 63 appearances. After retiring from football, Shearer became a television pundit and has worked for the BBC since 2006.

Robin van Persie

Robin van Persie is a retired Dutch professional footballer who played as a forward. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Dutch footballers of all time, known for his incredible technical skills, eye for goal, and ability to score from almost any position on the field. Van Persie began his professional career with Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Netherlands before moving to Arsenal FC in the English Premier League in 2004 and later playing for Manchester United, and Fenerbahce before retiring in 2019 . He quickly established himself as one of the best strikers in the league, winning the Golden Boot award for the league’s top scorer in the 2011-2012 season. He was known for his technical skills, dribbling ability, and finishing, scoring 144 goals in 280 games. Van Persie won several individual awards throughout his career, including the Premier League Golden Boot twice and the UEFA Europa League Golden Boot once. He also won several team honors, including the Premier League title with Manchester United in 2013.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a professional footballer from Gabon who plays as a forward for Premier League club Chelsea and the Gabon national team. He played for Arsenal from 2018-2022, establishing  himself as one of their key players. In his first full season with the club, he won the Premier League Golden Boot, scoring 22 goals in 36 appearances. As of 23 April 2023, Aubameyang scored 69 goals in 140 games. He was  named African Footballer of the Year twice.

Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Leicester City and the England national team. Vardy began his senior career with Stocksbridge Park Steels in 2007 and later played for Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town before joining Leicester City in 2012. He has been a key player for Leicester City since then, helping them he club secure promotion to the Premier League in the 2013/14 season and winning the Premier League title in 2016. Vardy has also represented the England national team since 2015 and was part of their squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He is widely regarded as one of the most talented and prolific goal-scorers in the league, having won the Premier League Golden Boot award in the EPL 2019/2020 season.
